    Don’t forget to pack your running shoes! JavaJog returns to Seattle this April in conjunction with the SCA Global Specialty Coffee Expo. Since 2013, JavaJog has brought together hundreds of coffee aficionados, runners, walkers and friends to raise more than $75,000 in support of coffee women in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Ethiopia through local organizations on the ground.

    After a year hiatus, the JavaJog organizing committee is committed to producing another great fun run and fundraiser. JavaJog 2017 will be held Friday, April 21st at South Lake Union Park in Seattle and will again focus on raising money for women in coffee growing regions from around the world.

    Each one of them is a link in the coffee value chain: a value chain that goes from the tree to the cup and faces great challenges today, such as the farmers' economic sustainability, productivity, price volatility, the next generation of coffee growers, the consequences of climate change, how to keep the quality and traceability for an every day more and more discerning and informed consumer and an increasing demand of 50 million bags in the next 10 to 15 years, among others.

    The World Coffee Producers Forum will analyse all those challenges in a comprehensive way, with experts from all over the world, seeking to address them under the principles of global co-responsibility and cooperation.
