Lavazza and Wega join group to promote UN’s sustainability goals

A group of sustainability-focused companies presented the Brands4Sustainability initiative at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP25) in Madrid, Spain on 13 December 2019.

The initiative aims to unite the brands most actively engaged in achieving the UN’s sustainability development goals.

Coffee companies Lavazza and Wega Macchine per Caffé, supermarket chain Unes, meat industry distributor Cremonini, and capital goods dealer CNH Industrial Brands4Sustainability’s main drivers.

The group have contributed to a joint fund which will be used to support future projects, to be identified in 2020.

The presentation at COP25 announced that Brands4Sustainability is only the first step of a wider collaboration that is expected to grow over time.
