Nespresso appoints new head of Oceania

Nespresso has appointed Jean-Marc Dragoli as General Manager Oceania after successfully leading the company’s Brazilian operations.

Based in Nespresso’s Sydney office, Dragoli will look to build on his achievements in Brazil where he delivered double digit topline growth each year. He follows outgoing General Manager Loïc Réthoré.
“I know Australians and New Zealanders are true coffee connoisseurs and I am looking forward to working with colleagues across Oceania to offer the highest quality sustainable coffee and service to people at home, in the workplace, at hotels and fine dining establishments,” Dragoli says.

Nespresso says Oceania has enjoyed a period of sustained growth in recent years, through providing customers with unparalleled coffee experiences, access to new extraction technology with the Vertuo coffee system, the launch of subscription services, and the opening of reimagined boutique formats across the region, including the new flagship boutique on George Street in Sydney.

“We are delighted to have Mr Dragoli join us at a hugely exciting time for the business, as we continue to lead the way in sustainable, high quality coffee in the region,” says Roland Tschanz, Nespresso Head of Asia-Pacific, Middle-East and Africa.

“With an excellent management team in place, we know Mr Dragoli will build on this success in the coming months and years.”

This has been complemented by strong growth with the Nespresso Professional offering, targeted at workplaces, hotels, and fine dining venues.

Globally, Nespresso has made efforts to bolster its sustainability, sourcing more than 94 per cent of its coffee through its AAA Sustainable Quality program, fully in setting its operational carbon footprint, and setting up recycling schemes.

In Australia, Nespresso says it has shown strong innovation with local investment in a purpose-built recycling facility in Nowra, New South Wales, and an extensive recycling program offering tailored options for all Nespresso customers to recycle their used capsules.
