Stanford University spotlights Sustainable Harvest

A two-year collaboration between Stanford University and Sustainable Harvest Specialty Coffee Importers culminates in September with the launch of a new on-campus executive course, titled Leadership and Design Thinking: Drive change in your organization.

Pam Matson, former Dean of Stanford’s School of Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences, and Julia Novy-Hildesley, Professor in the Change Leadership for Sustainability program, will lead the 2.5-day seminar in Palo Alto.

The training is geared toward the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs looking to employ the tenants of design thinking and sustainability.

Dean Matson and Professor Novy-Hildesley will be joined by leading experts, including Sustainable Harvest Founder and CEO David Griswold. Griswold will lead a session called Relationship Coffee: Designing Business through Partnerships and Collaboration.

“Infusing sustainability and design thinking into the heart of business has the power to overcome some of the greatest barriers to global well-being,” Novy-Hildesley says.

“To do so, we must inspire the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs with lessons and models from pioneering change agents like Sustainable Harvest.”

In addition to the new course, Stanford has also released an official case study on Sustainable Harvest and an animated educational video about the power of the Relationship Coffee Model. This can be viewed HERE.
