euvend & coffeena trade fair highlights growth in 2019

International trade fair euvend & coffeena has reported 2019 as its biggest year yet, with around 4200 trade visitors and 162 exhibitors attending the event, from 9 to 11 May in Cologne, Germany. Euvend & coffeena serves as a presentation platform for businesses ranging from coffee sectors to vending machines and accessories for operators. Event organisers say these exhibitors presented the latest trends and innovations related to themes such as automated sales solutions, professional coffee systems, cups and services. Visitors attended the exhibition from 66 countries, with almost 40 per cent of exhibitors and visitors coming from abroad. “The continual growth in the number of trade visitors and exhibitors from abroad confirms the standing of euvend & coffeena as the industry's most important business platform,” says Anne Schumacher, Vice President Food and Food Technology at event organiser Koelnmesse. “We also set benchmarks in terms of the quality and diversity of the offer with regards to the current and future trends and innovations.” Office Coffee Service was one of the strongest themes at this year’s trade fair, where Schumacher says providing employees and customers with refreshments plays an ever increasingly important role in job and consumer satisfaction. Another key theme was sustainable cup solutions, which ranged from reusable concepts through to one hundred per cent recyclable materials. Additionally, many of the exhibitors were satisfied with their ability to transact contracts during the event. Robert Ropel, Plant Manager of new exhibitor Pear Group – a brand representing energy drink Carabao – says “euvend & coffeena enabled CARABAO to reach a new target group”. Hassan Nagi, Business Development Payment at Feig Electronic, adds, “The trade fair was fabulous. We will be back next time.” The next euvend & coffeena is scheduled to take place in Cologne from 29 to 31 October, 2020.
