Gloria Jean’s Coffees turns 40

Gloria Jean’s Coffees – United States (Gloria Jeans – USA) is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the coffee chain’s founding by Gloria Jean Kvetko in Long Grove, Illnois. On select days throughout the summer at participating stores, Gloria Jeans – USA will sell small 12-ounce drip coffees for US 79 cents, to honour the brand’s founding year of 1979. “In 1979, our nation of coffee drinkers were forever changed with the opening of the first Gloria Jeans – USA and the introduction of the first ever gourmet specialty flavoured coffees, beginning with vanilla almond,” says Sam Ferreira, President of Gloria Jean’s Coffees – USA. “Coffee drinkers could not get enough of these original, never-before-seen flavoured coffees, and we became the talk of the town, state, nation, and industry. Guest fascination with our amazing flavoured whole beans remains true to who we are today and continues to drive innovation in our private roasting facility.” Gloria Jeans – USA sources its coffees directly from exotic locations across the globe, with beans roasted in its Southern California headquarters, which includes a test kitchen for research and development.
