Italian manufacturer Quamar has launched ALPHA, a new line of professional coffee grinders with an automatic portafilter recognition system.

This product line is said to be a culmination of years of experience and a passion for coffee, with Quamar aiming to “revolutionise the sector by setting new standards in grinding”.

With the automatic portafilter recognition system, the grinder automatically detects the inserted portafilter (single or double) and starts grinding the dose without the need for manual adjustments.

This feature is designed to optimise time and improve workflow, which is useful during peak hours in cafés and coffee shops.

In addition to portafilter recognition, ALPHA offers a range of features designed to meet the needs of professional baristas. There are three available models with flat burr diameters of 65 mm, 75 mm, and 83 mm, to cater to different productivity requirements.

The grinders also feature precise micrometric adjustments via a front knob, paired with a digital display that shows micron measurements, ensuring optimal control over ground coffee consistency.

A 4.3-inch touchscreen display, complete with a customisable screensaver, allows users to showcase their brand’s logo.

Finally, the grinders feature an ergonomic design, metal structure, removable antistatic system, and detachable exit tube for simplified maintenance.
